Rhode Island based Prof. Vladimir Golstein takes us on a tour of Russian literature
John Simpkin from Spartacus Educational website introduces us to Alexander Falconbridge and introduces us to some of Bristols other obscure heroes. Dialect and John, together doing the sort of job the BBC is supposed to do but doesnt. https://spartacus-educational.com/PRbristol.htm
Rhode Island based Prof. Vladimir Golstein takes us on a tour of Russian literature looking at the works and passions of Fyodor Dostoevsky, Alexander Pushkin, Pyotr Kropotkin, Ivan Turgenev, Mikhail Bulgakov, Leo Tolstoy and Yevgeny Zamyatin. He also gives us his view of the rivalry between president Vladimir Putin and the Russian oligarchs who bought up state assets cheap under Boris Yeltsin in the 1990s. Why is it that the West seems to feel the constant need to subdue Russia for at least the last three hundred years? Prof. Golstein then looks at the present-day character and weather in Russia and which are the most interesting cities and regions to visit. https://twitter.com/vgolstein https://www.brown.edu/academics/slavic-studies/about/people/vladimir-golstein
